Humans fight to discover the unknown. We fund missions to outer space and just as we fantasize about alien life in media curiosity for knowledge is more than enough of a driving force than anything else.

But on the other hand, would you
want an alien race to come and visit
this asshole planet and its fooked up people?
Earth would be too embarrassing on the social galactic
scale.
Probably the closest we will ever come to
alien contact is becoming extinct because of collateral damage
due to an alien weapons test.

You seem very anti-humanity. Is there something you'd like to share with the rest of us about why you seem so hostile towards the human race? And the planet is inhabited by many a species, not just people.

why would earth be embarrassing on a galactic scale , if anything we would just be a micro cosm of the history of the universe,, i mean the history of most civilaztion on earth and is filled with war, battle, and all sorts of other sordid details

whose to say that hasnt happened in the universe, jsut as there are good forces out there, there can be some warlords and other douchebags out there who have done the same, and besides no one likes hypocrites

Why do humans have to fight to explore?
I want there to be benign alien species that want to enlighten us, turn us on to the universe in ways we could never have dreampt of.
Realistically theres not enough money,technology or resources to even think of worthwhile exploration,
thats why space exploration is dead. Believe me i had high expectations when i was 8yrs old and went to see
2001: A Space Odyssey- well guess what happened-nothing we're still flying barns into orbit and no new propulsion
systems and no nice big spacestations, moon or mars habitats.

The earth does have some awe and wonder as do a few earthlings have down thru centuries, but nothing to write ET about.

Wow you have a really "negative" view about our Race. I have a question what are you planning to do about all the bad things you see and have issues with? It's true that we aren't where we could be because of a lot of reasons. But it's true and possible that other Species in the universe have gone through some of what we have.
