Ai Yori Aoshi

One day, Hanabishi Kaoru, second year university student, came across a young woman in a kimono who seemed distressed. She was searching for a certain person whom she had not met in years. While she had an address, this was only her first time in the city. Kaoru decided to offer his assistance. However, the address she had led them to an empty plot of land.

Kaoru brought the distraught woman to his home where she presented him with a childhood photograph of herself and the person whom she was searching for, the only remaining clue she possessed. Remarkably enough, he recognised himself in the photograph. It turns out that she was Sakuraba Aoi, sole heir to the wealthy Sakuraba family. She had been matchmade with Kaoru and had spent 18 years preparing for this. However, when Kaoru left the Hanabishi, he was disowned by the family and the engagement annulled. She came to entreat him to return to the Hanabishi. How will Kaoru reconcile his feelings for Aoi with the reasons that drove him away from the Hanabishi?

4 Stars

This is a good anime to watch. It has this romantic aura that emmits a feeling thats gets you going for more and more episodes to watch. Some says its shallow, some says its nonsense, but for me I watched it and I'll store in my computer.

Could not finish!

It was good for the first 5 episodes cause I could Actually watch it.
Sadly however the file formats changed and it didnt play episodes 6 through the end because of the wmv3 codec which is stupidly not supported on mac
so sadly i could not watch the full series
however from the first 5 episodes it was funny and it was very enjoyable kinda reminded me of Love Hina

not what I had expected

Ignore my crappy english.

The animation is good, and some of the characters are really funny but the plot is not the best thing on earth. I don't find interesting the fact that the main characters keep hiding their romance, and Aoi's attitude is depressing, I can't imagine a girl that useless (she can do chores but nothing more).

Phails at rommance

Who ever calls this a rommance is shallow in my opinion.
This is yet another anime where the main chars are "in love" but are consistently interupted right before they kiss. This really pisses me off, Strike 1.
Its also annoying how the two main chars are in love and engaged but cannot tell anyone for in my opinion a pissy excuse. This REALLY pisses me off, Strike 2.
Not only that, but as you may expect every girl in the anime falls in love with the main char, folk that aint a spolier its commen sense, never the less, that pisses me off even further, interference in love is what i cannot accept. Strike 3 Batter out!
BUT, not to be biased, it is a time filler and the animations are well done, and KAA dident do a horrible job subbing, but i just cant bring my self to say anything "good" about it.
And yes, Love Hina certainly seems similar, oh wait, Strike 4, get off the damn pitch.
3/5 i know, i'm generous.

P.S. If you want to watch a rommance (like me) go watch Saikano, its on anime eden last i checked.

Relaxing!

Another jap boy's dream realized in Anime!

Another ironic love story, where in reality it might as well be a porn show... but since its anime~ all the impurities are removed, there you have it!

Rommance: 10
Action: 3
Cute: 6
Overall: 7

Will this show make you shed tears? Probably not...
