Very enjoyable movie, very good grasp on the story of humanity ^_^ am yet to watch the ova but am a little put of after seeing the difference in animation

Having trouble with mkv files? I normally use vlc but the mkv files did not run smoothly so i use SM player. it is the best player i have found to date for every mkv file that has caused me trouble. SMplayer, take a look i hope this helps

I've seen the movie in engish dub i thought it was pretty awsome had a awsome plot to it.

Fun Corny 1988 & Sleek Pretty 2004. Both with tons of action!

The OVA represents all that is 1980s anime. Synth soundtrack, s#*tty animation, corny sound fx... These all give it that nostalgic feel. The new version is much better in those regards, but it does not portray the dissatisfaction and tensions within the utopian world as well as the OVA. Still there's tons of great action and plenty of 'pretty' scenes.
