Black Blood Brothers

The full moon shines in the sky. In the light, a red shadow runs like gust. Holding a Japanese sword in his hand, he jumps from a building to a building. He’s running, in order to retrieve his brother, in order to realize his dream, and… When he identifies the enemy, he grins with shining his fang because he knows he can beat any enemy now. The Special Area - it is the only place where the vampire, which is supposed to exterminate, and the human beings can cohabitate. In the place, when two vampires, Mochizuki Kojiro and his brother Kotaro, and a human being, Katsuragi Mimiko, meet together, their new fates begin to hatch.

The story of life and death colored by black and red, and the vampires that transcend them begins. You’ll be the witness of the legend of bloody race living in the shadow.

it has vague shades of Hellsing which is one of my alltime favourite animes. I like the fact that this vampire can survive sun, sea water and a host of other not so vampire friendly things. All this series is missing is a good vampire clan war to wake us up every now and then

1) both main characters are vampires, that wear black and red trench coats with a red hat, with orange lensed eye wear, both are "special" vampires they both have a female side kick/tag along, and both have long black hair
2) both work for a company that deals with bad vampires
3) both use magic
etc...

I like this anime, but too bad it`s only 12 episodes. I was disappointed when I saw the end and the anime could have lastet longer. It would have been great if a second season was made.

i love this at start, what an great anime, but as i think on all anime who is only 12 epidodes long, its to short. They end too quickly. This could be one of a hell good anime, if it only had more time to make the whole story in it on.

When I begun to watch this anime, I excpected it to offer me some kind of dark feeling. As the episodes passed though, I realised, this is not going to happen. It is a vampire anime that takes place mostly at daylight, what's up with that? The little boy takes away any sense of darkness in the anime. The fight scenes are bad and I believe, in general the way they made this anime, they should have done something else than vampires. I liked the protagonist and in general it's watchable, but all in all, I wouldn't watch it again. A mediocrity.

I just watched the first episode and I'm hooked. Excellently drawn, hilarious, great action. Created as a dark vampire comedy/action without all the horror the vampires look like humans not half human half huh? and the show moves along very nicely you don't feel as if it's over too soon and it doesn't drag at all
