Surprizingly Good

When I 1st saw this on TV (SHOCKINGLY) I was captured by the similar Studio Ghibli approach and the at the I was surprised as to how good to really was with such a unique story and characters that made me fall in love with it.

This film is about a young boy name Amon who has a inherited a special gift from an extinct race called the 'wind people'. His father a scientist makes weapons for the Golden Snake Empire, an evil force that has taken over the country. When his father realizes the boy can manipulate energy enough to make a new deadly bomb, he escapes with his family only to be killed. Amon is orphaned and finds himself on a island village and befriends a young girl fisher girl named Maria. The village is destroyed by the empire and they are orphaned once again.
