Masterpiece

GITS is an amazing series with strong political issues and strong fight scenes. If you loved the Matrix series or the original movies or manga then this definitely for you.

Enticing!

I've seen only half of both the series and I must say, I haven't gotten bored for even 1 second. 83 The plot is excellent and the characteristics in each character are amazing!

Very enticing...

I've watched about 7 or so episodes of this fantastic series, and I've not got bored for one second. I am definitely going to spend countless hours downloading on my 56k to see it all; every hour spent downloading will be repayed tenfold in sheer anime brilliance.

Absolutely brilliant.

Although a couple of my kids won't agree with me on this one, i happen to think that the whole Ghost in the Shell franchise is astounding!!
In nearly thirty years of watching variuos anime of different types, i still rate this one as my all time favourite series. Simple as that.
One of the things to watch before you die!

Pre-SAC

I remember seeing GITS series before the GAC..
Is it still available subbed?

and BTW, there is a need to install Matroska if you want to see the subtitle in the mkv files..

I duno what breaks my codec pack and I'm unable to see the subtitle. Problem fixed after uninstalling and reinstalling CCCP.

The Whole Series Rocks

This is perhaps one of the deeper anime out there with a great plot to boot.
If you say Solid State Society has no subs, you are a noob. Use VLC player, go to video, go to subtitles, select english subtitles. It's a mkv file, that's how they code it.

Don't get the Hype

This is a review for the 1st movie. Anime aside this is just an existencialist rant. Not to complex for anyone whos taken a philsophy course. This is also very short when you take out all the long shot scenes coupled with the terrible choir. All in all when you take out the action scenes ther is little else whorthwhile here.

Extremely recommended.

GITS has got to be my favourite anime yet, its intelligence and intrigue are equally matched by its explosive action scenes. The story line of the 1st GIG I found to have an interesting plot that kept the viewer wanting more and more and I hope the 2nd GIG continues in the same way. If you havnt watched this series yet i would highly recommend this to anyone who loves the futuristic, cyberpunk genre. Not to be missed!
