Insanely good.

I just can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet. .Hack:// is my favorite anime out of them all. Some may not like the ending, but you have to play the games to truly understand it all (except the rave party at the end, episode 27 actually has a link with the first .hack:// games).Episode 28 takes place AFTER the first game series, so there's a time leap from 27 to 28. It's not totally related to the series and shouldn't be judged along with the rest.

*SPOILER ALERT*
Oh and there is one scene that really got me. If I remember correctly it's around episode 16, when Subaru gets beaten up by the other girl who looks like her, she then looks for Tsukasa who's waiting for her and then... UNDER THE MOON starts playing, I must have watched the scene where they finally meet again about a hundred times.

I'd rate this anime like this :

Characters : 5/5
Story : 5/5
Music : 10/5 (I think it's awesome, sue me)
Art : 5/5
Action : 1/5 (if you're looking for action then don't bother, it's a great anime, but it's not an action one)
Comedy : 1/5 (Same as action, look up Hayate No Gotoku if you want comedy)

Waste of Time

If you are one of those viewers looking for a good storyline and some action I am afraid this anime is out of the question. This anime would be classified as BORING, VERY VERY BORING. Trust me you dont want to watch such a anime where you go through a fair amount of episodes waiting for a HUMOUNGOUS DISAPPOINTMENT.

I am gonna give this a one because in my opinion, it was a weak storyline/plot, animation quality wasnt enough to make up for weak storyline, there is NO ACTION, and it didn't bring out any feelings in me.

I usually stay away from emotionally heavy animes but even AIR made me feel something and had a wonderful plot. This did nothing... what a waste of my time.

original review by the all nyuu nyuu~ Baka chan =='

helooo every1, baka chan here. okayz, u all picked a super good anime to watch every1. this anime isnt fancy in graphics or anything but what makes it stand out is its ability to be able to touch the inner feelings of the viewer.

okay, hack//sign is about a girl whose in-game name is tsukasa is suddenly trapped in "the world" as she is thrown into a series of events that may spell the destruction of the game and sending most players into a coma.

this anime brings a very interesting way of watching it, through the perspective as if you were in the game as well. most people who are lost somewhere in the middle, i do not blame you. play the game to find out.

alright, many of you are saying about the nonsensical ending. well, to be frank, DAMN WATCH ALL THE SERIES AND AT LEAST PLAY THE GAME BE4 U REVIEW. if u r clueless, do not review.

alright, ill help out a bit here.
tsukasa is the only link to a girl named aura. if tsukasa has negative feelings, aura will become negative. same goes if tsukasa has positive feelings.

alright, what happened to our little buddy at the end of the anime is that his data was copyied. thats why haseo who had a significant resemblence to the data of that dude zora from (hack signs) was able to merge with the data... also known as SKEITH

if u are wondering about skeith, play the game. cause if i told u about skeith, id have to tell u all about the A.I.D.A, making u all even more lost.

this anime is certianly a must see because of its emotional depth and the common message brought across that is it possible to live life the same way through a game. (gave it a five due to its evenly spread out stroyline from the game)

so, all in all, enjoy this anime because its one of a good series of anime that proves to the world that a game can also be an anime and an anime can also be a game. this ends another review.

Baka chan Nyuu Nyuu~ ( i wanna sleep... tired, Nyuu~ )

SWEET

Ok this is officially my favorite series to date, course i suppose that isn't saying much. However, i ill advise the last few episodes, they suck. I would have given it a 5/5 if it weren't for that, now im not going to say its bad just becouse of three episodes, but it is a large problem that can not be ignored. Still my favorite even if they did mess up the ending ><

Play the Games

This is a good anime, but I would suggest playing at least the game .Hack//Infection before you watch it. I did and everything made perfect sense to me, even the seemingly nonsensical ending.
